What we ask you for

We ask for the details needed to answer you and to arrange and teach lessons. Nothing more.

• Your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number
• The learner's name, age and current level, so we can plan lessons
• Whatever you write in an enquiry or a trial request
• Basic technical information, such as your browser type and the pages you open

What we do with it

We use your details to run lessons and to talk to you about them. We do not sell them.

• Arranging, teaching and supporting lessons
• Replying to enquiries and trial-lesson requests
• Sending progress notes, invoices and notices about your lessons
• Seeing, in totals only, which parts of the website are used

What allows us to use it

We rely on three grounds: the agreement we have with you once lessons begin, your consent where we have asked for it, and our legitimate interest in running and improving the service.

Who else sees it

The teacher we match sees what is needed to teach the learner. Beyond that, details go only to companies that help us operate, such as email, hosting or payment providers, and only as far as their job requires.

We will also disclose information if the law obliges us to.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while you are learning with us, and afterwards for as long as legal and accounting rules require. Then we delete them or strip out anything that identifies you.

How we look after it

Details are held on systems with controlled access. Only staff who need them for their work can see them.

What you can ask us to do

Depending on the law where you live, you can ask us to:

• Send you a copy of the details we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete what we no longer need
• Stop or limit a particular use of your details
• Take back a consent you gave earlier

Children

Many of our learners are children. A parent or guardian makes the booking and holds the account. Progress information goes to that parent or guardian and is not passed to anyone outside the group.

Cookies

The website stores very little in your browser. The Cookie Policy lists what, and how to refuse it.

When this policy changes

We update this page when our practice changes. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
